Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent

Chapter 305 305: The Final Challenge at the Dark Pillar Tower

Cassia stopped drinking her tea. She turned her head to the side and looked at Aaron, specifically the man's back.

Slowly, a big smile spread across the woman's face, a sign that she was happy with Aaron's decision.

"There's no going back once you make this decision. Are you ready?" asked Cassia, the woman stepping closer to Aaron to stand right next to the man.

"Yes. I won't regret it."

The woman nodded, she knew that Aaron was not the type of man who was fickle and easily changed principles. She flew gracefully into the sky, asking Aaron to follow her behind.

Aaron nodded. He flew up following Cassia who floated up to the sky floor.

It kept flying without knowing when to stop. Suddenly, Cassia stopped flying with her eyes distracted to the right and left, like she was looking for something.

"What's wrong?" asked Aaron.

"Nothing."

It looked like Cassia was doing a certain hand formation, it caused golden light to emanate from her body, along with a golden magic circle behind her back.

She shot her magic energy forward, making a flying island appear with a golden staircase built long and high up.

"That is the sky island. To reach the 100th floor, you must enter the sky island and perform some important tests," Cassia replied.

"Tests? I thought there were no more monsters on the 99th floor," Aaron interjected.

"Indeed, this test doesn't involve monsters," Cassia replied.

The woman began to fly towards the sky island while taking Aaron to fly beside her.

Unlike the island Aaron visited, the island was formed from natural rocks and soil, with a beautiful and refreshing panorama of natural forest.

Right in the center of the island, there is a large circular altar with six circles around it, Cassia immediately invited Aaron to enter the altar.

"What is this place?" Aaron asked.

"To become a Dark Ruler, at least your body must be strong from the pressure of six elemental magic," Cassia replied.

"You will sit in the center of the altar and let me test you. If you succeed, you can climb that ladder," Cassia replied, pointing to the Sky Ladder.

Aaron looked at the sky ladder, then nodded in response to Cassia's words. Without being told, Aaron flew low and sat cross-legged in the center of the circle, preparing to be tested by the woman.

A large magic circle appeared on Cassia, with six smaller circles floating behind her back. Cassia directed her magic forward to activate the altar and open the first stage.

There were six stages with stages 1-4 having the same test difficulty, stages 5 and 6 having a high test difficulty.

"I'll do them one by one. If I do four stages right away, you'll die," Cassia replied.

"It's okay. I can take it," Aaron replied.

Cassia looked closely into Aaron's eyes, there was no expression of fear shown by the man, completely confident in the abilities of his body and basic elemental energy.

The woman raised one finger up, activated the protective dome and began to activate the four basic elements of magic.

A red circle for fire, a blue circle for water, a green circle for earth, and an ash circle for wind. All four elemental circles appeared and lit up, signaling that the test would begin shortly.

"I'm starting!" said Cassia, Aaron cleared his throat and nodded.

Sure enough! The pressure from the four basic elements of nature made Aaron immediately vomit blood, with his body looking down as if a mountain had fallen on his back.

'Damn! Why is the test so hard?' Aaron asked, not expecting it.

"You only need to withstand this pressure for one minute. If you succeed, you can move on to the next stage," Cassia replied.

"Can I use my powers... to withstand this?" asked Aaron.

"Sure."

Aaron smiled and nodded. He formed a hand formation and started channeling his magic energy. A purple magic aura emanated strongly from Aaron's body, much to Cassia's surprise.

From Cassia's eyes, she saw that Aaron's purple energy was able to withstand and even fight back the pressure of the four basic elements of nature.

That surprised her, usually ordinary mages couldn't survive the pressure of the four basic elements for long.

The one minute time expired. Cassia raised her hand which suddenly removed the magic pressure on Aaron's back.

Aaron felt a tightness due to the density of the energy, but his body recovered quickly thanks to the purple darkness magic energy.

"Next, the light element," Cassia replied.

"Since the elements of light and darkness oppose each other, you may feel significant pressure from this test," Cassia explained.

"I'm ready!" said Aaron.

Cassia nodded. She activated the golden circle to begin applying magical pressure of light elemental energy to Aaron.

Just as Cassia expected, the aggressiveness of the light elements towards the dark elements increased dramatically.

Aaron seemed to have trouble withstanding the pressure this time, no matter what.

Even so, Cassia didn't expect that Aaron's purple darkness magic energy managed to make the man survive for a minute under the pressure of the basic light element.

Aaron's breath caught, Cassia withdrew the light element as the stage 5 test time had ended.

She didn't need to do the stage 6 test because Aaron's elemental base was suitable for the stage test, it would just be a waste.

Aaron looked up, seeing Cassia flying towards him as she opened the protective golden dome.

"You're stronger than I imagined," Cassia replied.

"Can I... climb the golden stairs?" asked Aaron.

"Of course."

Aaron nodded. He asked Cassia for time to recover his body. Cassia gave Aaron five minutes, five minutes being enough time for Aaron to recover.

Slowly, the natural energy in that place began to convert to purple dark energy, thanks to the passive ability possessed by Aaron.

Cassia saw that unusual moment, she guessed that Aaron had some abilities that were hidden before.

In the end, Aaron's body and energy were fully restored. Aaron opened both eyes and began to emit purple magic energy that spread and expanded to other areas, making Cassia's hair loose and fluffy.

"How was it?" asked Cassia.

"I'm ready."
